The Mann House is the pre-eminent leader in special needs and assisted living in Atlanta. We were the first to incorporate hospice services into assisted living in 1995.

We have an outstanding level of 24/7 services for individuals requiring special Alzheimer's care needs as well as heart attack patients, stroke victims, those with COPD, Parkinson's disease, arthritis, cancer and as well as various chronic, emotional or physical disabilities. We have a long history in caring for those with particularly acute, difficult or chronic health care conditions other operators are often reluctant to accept for assisted living residency.

We're simply people caring for people. But we have to set our Alzheimer's care bar much higher than most other assisted living properties. We strive to make each day as fulfilling, peaceful and hopeful as possible for each resident and his/her family no matter their current health status.

Accordingly, at The Mann House, we place a premium on enriching our residents' experiences.

Due to our high staff to resident ratio (1:4 average), we are able to take extra time, and care, to make sure everyone has access to an engaged, active life of rich experiences.

Exposure to natural sunlight and brightly lit rooms helps slow down the aging process, lifting spirits and thus extending quality of life. For hygienic and inspirational reasons, we keep the home immaculate, from all the carpets, to the kitchen, each suite and penthouse apartment and all common areas.

Like a small, exclusive European hotel, we offer individualized services on demand. And we pioneered fine dining in residential care. Further, the entire home is secured, offering safety to those who may wander or are often confused.

Special dietary requests are honored, with excellent dining in an elegant environment, or "Silver Tray Service" in each resident's quarters, at their choice. No additional charge.

As a result, those family members who select us often feel a deep fulfillment and a sense that they've done "the right thing for their family". A sense supported by the quiet thanks and inner gratitude of our residents--your loved one, for being part of a small group of ladies and gentlemen living in a very special community.

Residents enjoy the privacy of their own suites, penthouse apartments, along with the opportunity for social interaction as desired and healthcare services as appropriate and required.

We work closely with local pharmacists, mental health providers and each resident's physician to evaluate/determine that all healthcare needs are being identified and met.

Our Director of Health Services assures thorough supervision of all licensed nursing personnel, medication, health and personal care services. And our Medical Director is on call.

As a result, we often have a waiting list for residence openings. Apparently, when you're the best, people want to be part of it all.

We can also arrange Hospice services, in-house at the Mann House. (Proudly, we were the first assisted living residence anywhere to do so some 16 years ago!) We also own the hospice IPU operated by Altus Hospice, adjacent to The Mann House, on the same campus.

Not only can we manage health care conditions that exceed the ability of most other providers, but our pricing is a far better value than other assisted living homes in the area, since many charge extra daily rates for needed services (like walking assistance or medication management, personal laundry service, ironing, etc.), while ours are included at no extra charge.

Our all-inclusive rates are 'bundled' to encompass hospitality, health and personal care services, with no billing surprises at month's end.
